Don't try this at home...

The other day I had a great idea to make some soap.....of course! How "domesticy" is that?!?...right? And I wanted to try something new and different. It was all just fine and looking good. Then at the top it started to look all grainy and "applesaucey," and beneath the glop on top it looked kind of like melted butter. So, why not try to blend it up with the stick blender....logical reasoning. :) So, I used the stick blender and stopped for a moment to check it out. And, it started to expand...not just a little overflowing where you can blow on it and it dies down...No! This was a volcano, An atomic bomb, An uttermost explosion! I don't think that I'll ever forget the look on moms face as she raced to get a towel while holding in laughter and screaming to take it off the burner. Once all was safe we both shared a good laugh. Mom looks at me and just says, "That's the last time we try to do something 'domesticy'." :) We let it cool for a bit and tried the stick blender again...it expanded again but not as much because it was getting thicker. It was still clumpy and sort of grainy when I put it in the tupperwares. But, I think that maybe when I re-mill it that it might work out. :) *wink* It doesn't look all that messy in this picture....but it was. :) well....it felt like it anyway. :) See what I mean by "applesaucy?" :)

I'm pretty sure that It'll work out. But, I wont try that stick blender again. :)
